Nice Swan Academy
Nice Swan Academy is a Children’s Theatre School established in 2009 in Gateshead where we encourage and nurture talent from just 3 years old. We recognise that every child is different and take pride in offering fun, friendly, accessible and affordable Performing Arts classes which bring our the best in everyone. We teach youngsters the skills and technique to become talented, confident young performers as well as give them skills and support needed in every day life. Our Academy is a place for young people to come together, improve, express, create and achieve their ambitions with lots of performance opportunities and fun along the way!
We appreciate that not all children are the same and don't always want to feel pressured into doing exams and competitions, so instead we offer fun weekly classes to learn and develop performance skills with amazing chances to shine on stage. There is the option to do exams and progress further for those that choose to! Our students have gone on to gain places at top London Drama Schools including Mountview, Italia Conti, and Bird College.
We offer classes in Mini Performers, Performing Arts and Drama with optional technical styles including Commercial, Tap, Private Singing, Private Dance and LAMDA Tuition.
We also offer lots of exciting unrivaled performance opportunities throughout the year at reputable local theatres and performance venues - normally a Showcase or Musical in Summer and a Halloween or Christmas Show in the Autumn. We also perform regular vocal concerts and smaller showcases as an extra opportunity to showcase talent. Our Elite groups often get the chance to take part in additional experiences which have included dancing on stage at Disneyland Paris, on a Broadway stage in New York and wowed audiences at the O2 in London!
We also have exciting School Holiday Activities (Easter, Summer and Christmas) for children to get involved in as well as regular workshops with industry professionals.
